유일한 분단도, 평창올림픽 성공 개최의 이력을 넣어 중장기적 관점에서의 자세한 예측을 주문했더니 “강원도는 더 평화롭고 조화로운 세상에 대한 희망의 상징이 될 수 있다”고 답했다.
